Donation and Pricing Policy
What the seva amounts mean, how your donation is applied, what you receive in return, and the tax position.
Last updated · 9 September 2026A donation is not a purchase
Everything offered on this website is a seva — a voluntary offering to the temple. It is not a product, and the amounts shown are not prices.
When we write “₹1,100 feeds 100 people” or “₹11,000 for a square foot of temple land”, we are telling you what a contribution of that size allows the temple to do. You receive no goods and no services in exchange, and you acquire no ownership, no share and no entitlement in the temple or its land.
You may give any amount you wish. Every category in our donation system includes anAmount of your choice option, and a small offering given with attention is not lesser than a large one.
What the seva amounts are
These are the contributions the temple publishes for each seva. The donation system at seva.gnw.myiskcon.org is the authoritative list — if what you see there differs from what is written here, the donation system is right and we would be grateful if you told us so we can correct this page.
Temple land
Land for the temple is offered at a single rate of ₹11,000 per square foot. You may give one square foot or many — 1, 11, 21, 51, 108, 201, 501 or 1,008 square feet — or any amount of your choosing.

General Donation
Any amount you choose, applied wherever the temple’s need is greatest.
Festival sevas — Janmashtami, Radhashtami and others — open for a season and carry their own ladders, which are published on the donation system while the festival is running.
How your donation is applied
If you choose a specific seva, we apply your donation to that seva. If you give a General Donation, we apply it where the need is greatest — usually Annadaan, the goshala, or the temple construction.
Donations are pooled in the temple’s accounts and spent as the seva requires, along with the reasonable costs of running the temple and of raising the funds themselves. We do not hold your particular rupees in a separate envelope, and no charity does.
Occasionally a seva is fully funded, completed, or discontinued before your donation can be applied to it. Where that happens we apply the donation to the temple purpose closest to what you intended. We will not move it to something unrelated. If you would rather it came back to you in that situation, say so when you donate and we will honour it.
The temple’s accounts are audited annually and filed with the Income Tax Department as the law requires.
Receipts and tax certificates
You receive an acknowledgement as soon as your payment succeeds, confirming the amount and the seva. That acknowledgement is your proof that the donation reached us.
The tax certificate is a separate, later document
To claim a deduction you need the certificate of donation — Form 114under the Income-tax Rules, 2026, still widely known as Form 10BE. We cannot write it ourselves. The Income Tax Department generates it after we file our annual statement of donations (Form 113, formerly Form 10BD), which is due by 31 May following the end of the tax year. A donation made in September therefore produces its certificate the following May.
Anyone promising an instant 80G certificate at the moment of payment is describing something that does not exist. What is instant is the receipt.
How much you can actually deduct
Donations to the temple qualify under Section 133 of the Income-tax Act, 2025, the provision that replaced Section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961 from 1 April 2026. The temple’s approval reference is [to be confirmed by the temple] and the deduction available is[to be confirmed by the temple].
Two honest qualifications. A deduction reduces your taxable income, not your tax bill — the cash you save is the deduction multiplied by your tax rate. And if you file under the new tax regime, now the default for individuals, this deduction is not available to you at all; you would have to opt for the old regime to claim it. We would rather tell you that here than have you discover it in March.
What we need from you
Your name exactly as it appears on your PAN, your PAN or Aadhaar, and your address. Without them we cannot report the donation against your name, and the deduction will not be available however much you gave. A cash donation above ₹2,000 does not qualify at all — that applies to cash offered at the temple counter, not to donations made here by card, UPI or net banking.
We do not give tax advice. Please ask your own adviser what you can claim.
Delivery, shipping and what you receive
Stated plainly, because payment providers and donors both ask:
- Nothing is sold on this website and nothing is shipped or delivered against a donation. There is no cart, no order and no consignment.
- What you receive is an acknowledgement by email or SMS, issued as soon as your payment succeeds, and in due course your Form 10BE certificate.
- Where a seva carries a token of the temple’s gratitude — prasadam, a garland, mahaprasadam sent after a festival — it is a blessing offered at the temple’s discretion, not a purchased item, and it is normally collected at the temple rather than posted.
- Goods bought in person at the temple — from the gift shop, the bakery or the restaurant — are ordinary purchases governed by the terms at that counter, not by this policy.
Regular giving
Nitya Seva and Ekadashi Seva can be offered as a standing monthly contribution. You choose the amount, and it continues until you stop it.
You may stop at any time, without giving a reason — seeStopping a recurring seva. We will not make it difficult, and it will not affect how you are received at the temple.
Donations from outside India
Please make your donation from an Indian bank account, card or UPI ID, in Indian rupees. Contributions from foreign sources are regulated separately by the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, and we can only accept them if we hold the registration that Act requires. If you live outside India, or hold a foreign passport, please write to the temple office before donating so that we can tell you the right way to give.
Recognition, and your privacy
Some sevas carry recognition — a name on the donor wall, an invitation to a festival, a mention in a temple programme. Where they do, we say so at the time.
We will not publish your name, the amount you gave, or your photograph without asking you first. If you would like your offering acknowledged publicly, tell us. If you would rather it stayed between you and the Lord, that is what we do by default. You can change your mind either way at any time — see our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
We do not sell or share donor lists with anyone.
Making sure your donation reaches us
Donations to this temple are collected at https://iskcongreaternoidawest.com and at seva.gnw.myiskcon.org and nowhere else. We will never ask you to transfer money to a personal bank account or a personal UPI ID, and no devotee of this temple will ever telephone you for a card number, a CVV, an OTP or a UPI PIN.
If you are unsure whether a request is genuine, please do not act on it — call the temple office on 9555109773, 8800968857 and check with us first.
If something goes wrong
Duplicate payments, wrong amounts, money debited that never reached us — these happen, and we put them right. How to ask, and how long it takes, is set out in ourRefund and Cancellation Policy.
This policy should be read with our Terms and Conditions and ourPrivacy and Cookie Policy. To speak to someone, see theContact page.
